Slag Conditioner

Slags have a pivotal role in thermal metallurgy. They allow for separation of mixtures and winning of products of the highest purity. Slag conditioners are further used in the steel industry in order to adapt the chemical and physical properties of the slag. The objectives are absorption of impurities from the steel melting process / minimization of damages by aggressive slag on furnace refractory linings and thus reducing wear / desulphurisation / slag degassing / slag liquefaction / support of the mixture of the steel bath / optimization of the energy balance by improved formation of foam slag.
